As far as stats go train your 5 free points as a newbie in either INT, CON or STR, based on whichever stats your race is weakest in. The goal is 18 in all three by level 300

Ideally you will want (before potions) 18 Int, 18 Con, 18 Str when maxxed or at least by level 300, regardless of your race.
